Viana, Navarra

Al oeste de la Comunidad Foral, Viana ofrece el aliciente de su palacio-castillo y un importante recinto amurallado que protegía esta frontera con el reino de Castilla. Dentro del casco antiguo la iglesia de Santa María muestra una preciosa portada renacentista. También destacan las ruinas de lo que fuera una imponente iglesia dedicada a  San Pedro, que fue destruida en la Guerra de la Independencia, y hoy convertida en un singular espacio arqueológico. Desde aquí una carretera lleva a Torralba del Río y al santuario de Codés, al pie de las espectaculares peñas de Yoar,  desde donde se pueden hacer varias rutas para conocer este espectacular paisaje.
