Valdelagua es un delicioso núcleo apartado y casi deshabitado en un retirado valle de La Alcarria y al fondo de un barranco recorrido por un arroyo. En tiempos, alrededor se cultivaban cereales, olivos, viñas y frutales y el pueblo contaba cerca de cuarenta viviendas, hoy en su mayoría ruinosas. El pueblo quedó desierto a finales de los años 60, pero en las décadas posteriores se rehabilitaron casas, un centro social y se ofrecieron algunos servicios que permitieron la vuelta de los descendientes de sus antiguos habitantes. A destacar el entorno idílico, la modesta iglesia local, con su espadaña de tres ojos y la ermita de la Purísima.
