Sotosalbos, Segovia

Otro de los grandes tesoros románicos segovianos es el templo de san Miguel Arcángel, en el recoleto pueblo de Sotosalbos. Su belleza y su proximidad a la capital lo convierten uno de los más conocidos y visitados, gracias a la rica representación escultórica que figura en los capiteles de su galería porticada. De nuevo podemos ver figuras de animales: leones, simios, serpientes…, así como criaturas fantásticas como dragones, arpías y basiliscos. En la cornisa se mezclan escenas lúdicas y personajes leyendo o escribiendo. El interior de la iglesia ha preservado parte de sus pinturas murales, sobre todo el toro alado del evangelista san Lucas. Junto a la iglesia, la plaza Mayor, al igual que el resto del pueblo reúne un buen conjunto de casonas tradicionales.
