Les Avellanes, Lleida

Esta antigua abadía, levantada en el s. XII, conserva el claustro románico original, muy sencillo y sin grandes adornos, además de numerosas dependencias monacales. El templo, gótico en parte, cuenta con una cabecera de cinco ábsides y albergó los sepulcros de los condes de Urgell, que hoy se exhiben en el museo neoyorquino de The Cloisters. También de su época gótica son la sala capitular y el dormitorio de los monjes. En la actualidad está rodeado de una serie de edificios que incluyen hotel, restaurante, salas de talleres y otra dependencias donde se organizan visitas guiadas y muchas otras actividades.
