Sant Miquel d’Escornabou, Tarragona

Bello conjunto formado por un castillo y un monasterio, levantados sobre un alto de la sierra de la Mola. El precioso paraje fue elegido en el s. XII para la construcción de un monasterio que, tras la Desamortización, sirvió de corral de ganado y fábrica de moneda falsa, quedando abandonado a comienzos del s. XX. La obra actual, muy restaurada, no ha perdido su encanto y conserva parte del claustro con una arquería abierta al horizonte. A los pies del recinto el romántico paseo dels Frares recorre una zona de espeso arbolado.
