San Martín de Elines, Cantabria

Es imposible sentirse indiferente ante esta joyita románica que tiene su origen en un monasterio benedictino y está considerada como la colegiata más antigua de Cantabria. El monasterio se levantó a comienzos del siglo XI  y lo que queda actualmente es la iglesia, con una estilizada torre cilíndrica y un ábside semicircular de buena altura, coronado por unos canecillos muy característicos. Las representaciones iconográficas son muy ricas en todo el exterior del templo y en el interior destaca el mínimo claustro, y la nave única de la iglesia, de una altura poco habitual en los templos románicos.
