Ribadavia, Ourense

Capital de O Ribeiro y villa se singular historia, en la que convivieron cristianos y judíos durante la Edad Media.  De aquella época conserva el castillo, accesible por una puerta ojival, así como restos de la muralla y de la pequeña judería, en la que destaca la casa de la Inquisición. El templo de Santiago, con una rica iconografía románica, el convento de Sto. Domingo, la iglesia templaria de S. Juan, así como otros pequeños templos y la legendaria casa da Coenga, unida a viejas leyendas de conversos, añaden interés al patrimonio monumental de Ribadavia. Sus calles y plaza son además el escenario de una evocadora fiesta medieval a comienzos de septiembre.
