En el extremo occidental de la provincia, el valle de Valdegovia conduce a este hermoso rincón alavés, que comunica con las tierras de Burgos a través del angosto desfiladero del Purón. Un paisaje de pastos, hayedos y bosques de pino albar acompaña el recorrido del parque, con numerosos senderos y una variada fauna que incluye el corzo y el gato montés. El roquedo de Vallegrull concentra la mayor colonia de buitre leonado del País Vasco. En la localidad de Lalastra se encuentra el Centro de Visitantes, muy útil para obtener información de la zona.
