Pedroso de Acim, Cáceres

A las afueras de la pequeña población se encuentra este encantador rincón donde se situó una fundación de San Pedro de Alcántara que, sobre una casa, construyó un monasterio tan pequeño que comenzó a denominarse como el conventico. Las estancias son mínimas, incluida la celda del santo donde sólo podía dormir sentado. A pesar de todo el monasterio, casi de juguete, cuenta con un gracioso claustro de dos plantas en el que dos monjes, uno a cada lado, podían darse fraternalmente la mano. En su mínima iglesia apenas cabían el celebrante y el acólito que le ayudaba. Todo esto le ha valido la denominación  de monasterio más pequeño del mundo.
