Siresa, Huesca

Sobre los tejados de Siresa, muy cerca de Hecho, destaca la mole imponente de su iglesia de San Pedro, resto de un monasterio carolingio del siglo IX, declarado Monumento Nacional. Pese a su sobriedad decorativa, la construcción, que se acabó durante el siglo XIII, es extraordinaria y el interior, amplio y elegante, revela soluciones técnicas muy audaces para la época. Algunas de las piezas de valor son un precioso Cristo románico del siglo XIII, una talla de la Virgen de la misma época, algunos retablos posteriores y un par de tablas robadas por Erik “el Belga” y recuperadas años después.
