Nava de Francia, Salamanca

Junto a su popular santuario del s. XV, la Peña de Francia es un extraordinario mirador sobre en una plaza empedrada, donde se indican los pueblos que se pueden ver y que en los días claros alcanza las tierras zamoranas, la sierra de Gredos, el Campo Charro, la sierra de Gata e incluso la sierra de Estrela en Portugal. La altitud del lugar, más de 1700 metros, contribuye al disfrute de estas panorámicas aunque se aconseja alguna prenda de abrigo. En el santuario destaca la talla de la Virgen negra, objeto de una popular romería a finales de junio. Junto al santuario hay un monasterio, una hospedería y un rollo de justicia y en las faldas de la Peña de Francia medra una gran riqueza de variedades de plantas aromáticas y algunos olivos centenarios.
