Fuentespalda, Teruel

La piedra es la materia prima de este conjunto medieval del Matarraña en el que destaca un torreón, conocido como La Torreta, convertido en mirador y sala de exposiciones. En la planta inferior se conserva una sala que fue utilizada como cárcel y que tiene el juego de argollas y cadenas originales. Sobre los caserones se alza también la monumental iglesia de El Salvador, un templo de origen gótico en el que os invitamos a que prestéis atención a su órgano barroco, datado en 1680 y que protagoniza, junto al de Monroyo, un ciclo anual dedicado a la música de órgano. Otro espacio de interés es el cementerio medieval, con una veintena de estelas funerarias, que algunos historiadores asocian a la presencia de los templarios en la localidad. En los alrededores de Fuentespalda algunas masías abandonadas atestiguan la despoblación de la comarca.
