Calaceite, Teruel

En el pequeño montículo de San Antonio, a un par de kilómetros de Calaceite, se conservan los restos de una de las poblaciones ibéricas más importantes del Bajo Aragón, un conjunto amurallado que estuvo habitado hasta el año 200 a. de C. En lo más alto del poblado se aprecia el primer recinto, rodeado de una estrecha muralla y con algunas casas atravesadas por una calle central. Más tarde se amplió con aterrazamientos, un torreón y una nueva muralla. También se reconocen los restos de una alberca para recoger agua de lluvia. Las excavaciones del poblado han permitido hallazgos como algunas piezas de cerámica, objetos de bronce y una pequeña estatua zoomorfa. Desde el cerro se puede avistar el pueblo y el santuario de Santa Ana, sobre un monte cercano.
