Sobre esta tranquila población casi limítrofe con Soria, se levanta el imponente castillo del s. XII que perteneció al poderoso Álvaro de Luna, autor de importantes reformas. La obra, gótica del s. XIV, cuenta con un recinto exterior bien conservado y ocupado actualmente por el cementerio. A su lado está la iglesia, dedicada a San Pedro, con una potente torre cuadrada, que alberga unos bellos frescos. En la parte más alta y antigua podemos ver la ermita de San Blas con una curiosa bóveda adornada con estrellas y, muy cerca, está el llamativo palacio de los Baroja, junto al barrio judío, que quizá sea el edificio más antiguo del pueblo.
