Brihuega, Guadalajara

El arco de Cozagón, que se abre en la parte baja de Brihuega, es uno de los rasgos más expresivos de la villa medieval, cuando las murallas envolvían una población de árabes, judíos y cristianos. El núcleo más imporante lo forman el castillo de la Piedra Bermeja, en parte ocupado por el cementerio, y la iglesia de Sta. María, rodeada de un amplio empedrado que hace de mirador sobre la Alcarria. En lo alto de la villa está la Real Fábrica de Paños, un edificio del s. XVIII con unos bonitos jardines. En la parte baja hay un interesante patrimonio de arquitectura civil y el antiguo convento de S. José, convertido en el Museo de Miniaturas del Profesor Max, con la colección que este ilusionista, oriundo de Brihuega, atesoró a lo largo de su vida.
