Es imposible permanecer indiferente al pintoresco emplazamiento de este pueblo, encaramado sobre un cerro a más de 1200 metros de altitud. El núcleo urbano forma una piña, coronada por los escasos restos de su castillo musulmán. En el siglo pasado, durante los años de la posguerra fue un lugar frecuentado por el maquis y hoy llama la atención por el aspecto casi desierto de sus calles, en las que destaca la iglesia de la Asunción, levantada sobre una antigua ermita románica. Se accede por una empinada escalinata de piedra y en el interior otra escalera conduce al coro y al campanario. Con todo, lo más atractivo del pueblo es su tosco laberinto de callejones y algunas casas adornadas con abundantes matas de flores.
