Alcalá del Júcar, Albacete

Su emplazamiento junto a un tramo encañonado del río Júcar, ha sido decisivo en la configuración del caserío, que baja casi verticalmente hasta la orilla. A los pies de su castillo almohade, un intrincado laberinto de callejones estrechos y fachadas encaladas evoca el pasado árabe de esta villa, a la que se accede por un antiguo puente. Una pendiente conduce hasta la fachada de la iglesia de S. Andrés, iniciada en el s. XVI y ya en el interior del núcleo urbano, habrá que detenerse en alguna de sus profundas cuevas, convertidas en mesones y abiertas a la curiosidad del visitante.
